More Michigan hospitals adopt employee COVID vaccine mandates

Beaumont Health became the latest Michigan health system to adopt a COVID-19 vaccine mandate for its employees Wednesday, July 29. The Southfield-based system won’t require the shot for its more than 33,000 employees until the Food and Drug Administration grants full approval to at least one of the three available vaccines, unless a fourth pandemic surge requires the mandate to be implemented sooner.
