OKALOOSA ISLAND — The Florida Highway Patrol is asking for anyone with information on a fatal July 11 hit-and-run on Okaloosa Island to come forward. DeFUNIAK SPRINGS — A 23-year-old woman will spend at least 25 years behind bars after she shot a man in his leg three times and demanded he beg for his life. State Attorney Ginger Bowden Madden announced Wednesday that Walton County Circuit Court Judge Kelvin Wells sentenced Glenda Travaneisha Hamilton of DeFuniak Springs to 30 years in state prison. Hamilton will be required to serve at least 25 years as a mandatory minimum prison sentence per Florida’s 10-20 Life law.
