When a Deputy observes a school bus is transporting students to and from school, if calls permit, they will follow that school bus for a period of time. Their presence is focused on preventing improper passing during student pick-up and drop-off. This initiative is part of DCSO’s Overwatch Program, geared toward ensuring a safe learning environment for DeSoto County Students from the time they leave their homes.
