Downtown murder: Former state football champ ID’d as victim

ST. LOUIS – A CBC High School grad and member of the school’s state championship-winning football team was killed overnight in Downtown St. Louis. Damion Baker was one of two people shot in the 800 block of Cerre Street, just south of Busch Stadium and Interstate 64. The shooting happened around 3:20 a.m.

St. Louis Woman, Juvenile injured at Lake of the Ozarks

A St. Louis woman and a 13-year-old girl were injured Sunday evening when one personal watercraft crashed into another one at Lake of the Ozarks. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a 2022 Sedoo, driven by 38-year-old Shannon M. Winkle of St. Louis, collided with another 2022 Seadoo, driven by 38-year-old Erica F. Dicresce, also of St. Louis, around 6:30 Sunday evening in the Lick Branch cove.

ST. LOUIS – The St. Louis City Police Department reports a double shooting that left one man dead and a woman injured. The incident happened at around 3:20 a.m. Sunday at South 7th Street and Cerre Street near Busch Stadium. Homicide detectives have been requested.

Pilot seriously hurt, co-pilot killed in Metro-East plane crash

State police say a co-pilot was killed and a pilot received life-threatening injuries in a single-engine plane crash in Madison County in the Metro-East late Saturday morning. Preliminary information indicates the aircraft took off from St. Louis Metro East Airport and for unknown reasons, the aircraft lost altitude and crashed on Keck Road just west of Illinois Route 4.

Hillsboro teen involved in crash near Lonedell

A Hillsboro teenager was involved in a two-car traffic accident Friday, June 1, at Hwy. 47 and Project Road near Lonedell in Franklin County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a 17-year-old boy from Hillsboro was driving a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu west on Project Road at 7:05 p.m. while a 2004 Volkswagen Jetta driven by Kameron Hall, 22, of Sullivan was headed north on Hwy. 47. The Hillsboro teen failed to stop at a stop sign and the Chevrolet hit the right side of the Volkswagen.
