Board of Regents approve UI purchase of Iowa River Landing property

The Iowa Board of Regents approved the purchase of a property in the Iowa River Landing in Coralville. The University of Iowa will buy the property at 704 East 2nd Avenue for $929,000, or $31 per square foot. Documents presented at Wednesday's Board of Regents meeting say the purchase will be funded by UIHC gifts and earnings.

$10 million multiuse project planned north of downtown Des Moines

A mixed-use commercial project is being proposed at 1714 Sixth Ave. in Des Moines. Marquas Ashworth's project would include 12,000 square feet of street-level commercial space and 32 apartments, 51% of which would be leased at affordable rates.
