Truck Rollover in Washington County Injures Three

Photo courtesy of Washington County Ambulance Service. Three teenagers have been injured in a single vehicle wreck southeast of Washington Friday. The Iowa State Patrol states that at about 1:57 p.m. a 15-year-old was driving a Ford F250 pickup truck westbound on 285th Street west of Quince Avenue when they lost control on the gravel road and went into the south ditch rolling several times. The driver and the passengers were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash and were all ejected from the vehicle. Two people were transported by Washington County Ambulance Service and one person was transported by AirCare to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. The incident remains under investigation. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office also assisted at the scene. KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.

Man Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash in Chickasaw County Identified

Authorities have identified a Nashua man as the person killed in a two-vehicle crash in Chickasaw County Wednesday afternoon. The Iowa State Patrol says the collision occurred just west of Fredericksburg shortly before 3 p.m. A Hyundai Accent driven by 68-year-old Thomas Kolodjiez was turning off Highway 63 at the Highway 18 exit, but failed to yield at the stop sign and was struck broadside by a KW semi-tractor driven by 50-year-old Jason Woodring of Fredericksburg that was eastbound on 18. Kolodjiez died from his injuries suffered in the wreck.

Fire destroys Windsor Heights townhomes, two people injured

WINDSOR HEIGHTS, Iowa – Two people were injured early Friday morning when a fire destroyed a building with multiple townhomes in Windsor Heights. UPDATE: Northeast Iowa Accident Victims Identified

Authorities have identified two men who died this week in separate northeast Iowa accidents. According to Buchanan County sheriff's officials, 51-year-old Thomas Gregory of Fairbank was killed Wednesday morning when he was electrocuted while trimming a tree in Hazleton. Investigators determined that Gregory came into contact with an overhead power line while using a boom lift to cut down the tree.

Nebraska man killed in three-vehicle accident on I-80

A Nebraska man was killed Wednesday morning in a three-vehicle accident on Interstate 80. That’s according to the Iowa State Patrol, which says 83-year-old Jimmie Danielson of Lincoln was driving his 1969 MG convertible westbound between Tiffin and Oxford just after 11:45am when the car made contact with two other vehicles. The convertible, as well as a 2017 Dodge Ram 3500 and a 2016 Tesla, all ended up in the ditch. Danielson’s MG ended up on its top. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Deadly car/semi collision in Chickasaw County Wednesday

CHICKASAW COUNTY, Iowa – At least one person is dead after a semi collided with a car Wednesday afternoon at a northeast Iowa highway intersection. The Iowa State Patrol says it happened around 2:48 pm where Highway 63 exits onto Highway 18. The State Patrol says a 2016 Hyundai Accent was exiting Highway 63 and failed to stop at the stop sign, continuing onto Highway 18 and being hit broadside by an eastbound semi.
