Lake Charles, LA (KPLC) - A Sulphur man accused of shooting his neighbor’s dog has been sentenced in federal court for illegally possessing the firearm. Justin M. Marks, 35, was sentenced by federal Judge James David Cain to three years and seven months in prison for being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm. Sulphur Man Sentenced to Federal Prison for Illegally Possessing a Firearm

LAFAYETTE, La. – Justin M. Marks, 35, of Sulphur, Louisiana, has been sentenced for being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, United States Attorney Brandon B. Brown announced. United States District Judge James D. Cain, Jr. sentenced Marks to 43 months in prison, followed by 3 years of supervised release.
