Albany Man Seriously Injured in ATV Accident

CLARENCE, MO – An Albany man was seriously injured in an ATV accident in Shelby County last night. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports 43-year old James Gordon lost control of the ATV on Old Highway 36 in Clarence around 9:45 Tuesday night. The ATV overturned ejecting Gordon. He was taken to University Hospital by helicopter.

Personnel tops MAC board action

At their meeting Wednesday, August 8, the Mount Ayr Community Schools board of directors approved a long list of personnel decisions. The board approved the hiring of Diagonal music instructor Wildalys Cruz to teach elementary and high school music from 12-2 p.m. four days a week until a full-time music instructor can be found. Mount Ayr will compensate Cruz $20,973 including mileage.

Bethany Woman Facing Burglary and Trespass Charges

BETHANY, MO – A criminal summons was issued on Monday for a Bethany woman to appear on a felony and a misdemeanor charge filed in Harrison County. Charges for Burglary and Trespass were filed against sixty-four year old Laura Lee Squires alleging the incident took place on July 3rd. An affidavit filed by the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office alleges Squires entered property near Blythedale and mounted game cameras in a garage and poles near the residence. Squires is scheduled for arraignment on September 7th.

Woman flown to hospital after Sunday crash

A 49-year-old woman was flown to the hospital for injuries after a rollover crash Sunday on Missouri Highway 246 near Sheridan, Missouri. Stephanie S. Tate, of Maryville, Missouri, was flown to Mosaic Life Care of St. Joseph for serious injuries after the crash at 2:55 p.m. a mile east of Sheridan, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

Two Maryville residents were injured Sunday afternoon in a rollover crash one mile east of Sheridan in Worth County. Injuries were listed as serious for a passenger in a pickup, 49-year-old Stephanie Tate, who was flown by medical helicopter (Life Flight) to Mosiac Medical Center in St. Joseph. The driver of the pickup, 52-year-old Bertsel Tate, received moderate injuries and was taken by an ambulance to the Mosiac hospital in Maryville.

Maryville Approved For Transportation Funding For Phase II Main Street Project

Missouri 6th District Congressman Sam Graves has announced that the City of Maryville will receive a RAISE Transportation Discretionary Grant for Phase II of their South Main Street Corridor Project. 2 Maryville residents injured in Worth County wreck

(Sheridan) -- Two Maryville residents were hurt in a wreck Sunday. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says troopers responded to a one-vehicle crash just before 3 p.m. on Highway 246 just east of Sheridan. The patrol says 52-year-old Bertsel A. Tate was driving a 1998 Ford pickup westbound when a trailer it was pulling began to fishtail. The vehicle went off the right side of the roadway, returned to the road, crossed the centerline and began to rotate before going off the right side of the road again, causing the trailer to detach.

Two from Eagleville charged in the death of a child

Authorities say two residents of Eagleville are in custody and have been charged with child abuse which authorities say resulted in the death of a child on July 31, 2022. According to a probable cause statement, emergency medical services and the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department responded to an unresponsive child, who was later pronounced dead after being flown to Children’s Mercy Hospital.
