It's Kitten Season at the City of Denton Animal Shelter. Ask anyone at the City of Denton Animal Shelter and they’ll tell you there are really five seasons that occur throughout the year: summer, fall, winter, spring, and KITTEN SEASON! Around this time each year, the Linda McNatt Animal Care and Adoption Center becomes a temporary home for more animals than they really have room for, especially kittens! At the time this story is published, the shelter has 10 kittens ready for adoption, 83 kittens currently in foster care, and another 55 kittens that still need a foster home!

Man Faces Multiple Charges in Shooting on Evers Way

DENTON, TX, June 11, 2021 – The Denton Police Department has arrested a Denton man for a shooting in the 400 block of Evers Way that left one person injured. Officers were dispatched at 12:29 a.m. Saturday after 911 callers reported hearing multiple gunshots. Upon arrival, a man with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds was located and transported to a local hospital for treatment.
