Delta County investigators arrested a suspect in the armed robbery of the Nuway East Convenience store. Multiple camera angles caught the theft from the store surveillance, and numerous individuals identified the suspect by his voice and clothes. Authorities issued an aggravated robbery warrant for 35-year-old Christopher Price of Cooper and arrested him last Friday. He’s in the Delta County Jail under a $150,000 bond.

Delta County Deputies searched for the man who held up the Cooper NuWay on E. Dallas Ave. Sunday night at about 10:45. The suspect acted as if he had a gun in his pocket and demanded money from the employee. He left the store and headed south, but it’s unknown if he fled on foot or had someone waiting outside with a vehicle. PARIS – Texas Department of Transportation officials announced that a rehabilitation project on FM 2675 in Delta County begins on April 25. The contractor, Sammy Gist Enterprises Inc., was granted 140 working days, weather permitting, to complete this project valued at more than $1.5 million. The target completion date for this project is October 2022, officials said.

COOPER, Texas — Delta County is almost hidden between Paris and Commerce in northeast Texas. The population of the entire county is just a little more than 5,000. Delta County Deputies investigating a fire at an apartment building in the 1300-block of West Dallas in Cooper say the blaze was deliberately set. They have detained a juvenile on arson charges. Firefighters were dispatched to the scene Wednesday night and found the building and materials in the area adjacent to the building completely engulfed in flames. The Texas State Fire Marshal’s Office is assisting in the investigation.
