Sullivan City Council Passes Three Ordinances, Accepts Second Bid For Paving Golf Course Parking Lot

The Sullivan City Council met on Tuesday, June 21, with one request before them, payment of the monthly bills totaling $1,680,027.15 and the passage of three new ordinances. Under requests and petitions, the St. Anthony Catholic Church received Council approval for a temporary liquor license, contingent upon State of Missouri approval, for their annual Parish Festival to be held August 27 and 28 of this year.

Tijerina: We need more transparency in Palmhurst city government

PALMHURST, Texas – Ricka Tijerina says she will bring more transparency to city meetings if she is elected mayor of Palmhurst. “I think that Palmhurst has used the fact that they are a small city for a long time to not let their residents know is happening. We don’t have access to meeting minutes, we don’t have access to any important documents on our website. I want to put everything out there. And I want to make sure that everyone’s voices are heard,” Tijerina told the Rio Grande Guardian.
