Authorities ID Victims In Chester City Double Shooting

Police in Delaware County have identified the victims in a double shooting that killed one and injured another in Chester Monday night. Arriving officers found 19-year-old Rashad Coleman, in the middle of the street, alert and conscious, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, along the 2000 block of West 4th Street around 9 p.m, according to the City of Chester Police Department.

Delco wants to acquire Don Guanella property via eminent domain for use as a park

Delaware County wants to create a large park on the Don Guanella School property in Marple Township, hoping to acquire the 213 acres through eminent domain. “It is the last really large piece of open space in a very dense area in eastern Delaware County. And it’s one of those parcels that just does an incredible amount of work for the community by just passively existing,” said County Council member Elaine Schaefer.
