Harold was born November 5, 1932 in Enderlin, ND to Daniel and Hazel (Ufer) Froemke. He attended Shenford Country School, then Sheldon Public School and graduated from Lisbon High School in 1950.

LISBON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Five were seriously injured in a crash roughly 6 miles Southwest of Lisbon Wednesday evening. The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports a 2009 Ford Explorer was traveling southbound on 127th Avenue SE, which is closed due to a culvert washout caused by erosion. The Explorer entered the washout and the front of the vehicle struck the opposite embankment, coming to rest at impact.
