Hopkins Woman Injured In DeKalb County Accident

69 year old Janet R Drummond of Hopkins was injured after crashing in DeKalb County Monday afternoon. 52 year old Krista L Smith of Eaton was southbound on Highway 31 driving a 2013 International Truck, 3 miles west of Stewartsville and Drummond was westbound on Highway 36. Smith attempted to cross westbound onto Highway 36 and failed to yield to Drummond. The vehicles collided. Drummond was taken by DeKalb Clinton County Ambulance to Mosaic Life Care in St Joseph.

Driver attempting to flee from traffic stop hurt in crash

OSBORN, MO – A St. Joseph man is badly hurt after an officer-involved pursuit ended Sunday evening with a vehicle accident in Dekalb County. State troopers say Matthew Pfleiderer, 30, was not wearing a seat belt when he attempted to turn north at the intersection of Route 36, and 33, north of Osborn. The vehicle failed to make the turn and hit an embankment off the roadway. The vehicle, however, continued north for one mile until it was located by law enforcement.
