Roush joins Rocky Fork Medical Center

Highland Health Providers has announced the addition of Julie Roush, family nurse practitioner, to the Rocky Fork Medical Center. Roush completed her associate degree in nursing in 2014 and her bachelor of science degree in nursing in 2016, both from The Christ College of Nursing and Health Sciences in Cincinnati. She then obtained her master of science degree in nursing at Walden University, becoming a certified nurse practitioner in 2021.

Barr’s Pharmacy donates to senior center

Highland County Senior Citizens members are pictured is with Barr Pharmacy owner Marcus Barr and and some of his staff at the Hillsboro location. Barr’s Pharmacy made a $500 donation to the senior center in support of their Elvis Presley tribute show fundraiser that was held lat month. This is an annual event put on by the senior center and the proceeds benefit the center’s operation.

Meadowview Regional Medical Center published its community benefit report for the 2021 calendar year this week. This yearly report outlines specific ways the hospital is positively contributing to the Buffalo Trace Region and spotlights the various ways it is working to support the health and well-being of the community it calls home – an investment which has become increasingly essential in recent years, officials with the hospital said.
