Bonnie Faye Pelc, 80, passed away Friday, May 13, 2022 at Henderson County Hospital in Lexington, Tenn. She was born Dec. 16, 1941 to the late Vernon Montgomery and Vannie Lee Tucker Montgomery in Decatur County, Tenn. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Mickey Montgomery and one sister, Rita Hicks. She was a cook at Decatur County Manor for three years and was a member of Bath Springs Baptist Church.

The much-anticipated return of the Kentucky Lake Outdoor Trail (KLOT) was held this past weekend at Spring Creek. There was a mixed crowd of returning KLOT teams from years past and also some new faces of beginner KLOT teams. They all converged at Spring Creek for the first KLOT in a very long time. With multiple events going on, up and down the lake, and with the lake rising fairly fast from the recent rains, the talk was, is there going to be many fish caught. That question was answered with a loud YES, as team after team hit the scales with a good five bass limit on Saturday. Lots of teams had quality bags at this event.
