The Town of Davie and the National Hurricane Center (NHC) continue to monitor the development of the Potential Tropical Cyclone One. The disturbance is expected to become a tropical storm later today or tonight. South Florida and Davie are still under a Tropical Storm Warning with forecasted winds of 35-45 mph and gusts up to 55 mph. There is a window for Tropical Storm force winds early Saturday morning until Saturday afternoon.

The Town of Davie and the National Hurricane Center (NHC) continue to monitor the development of a tropical system northeast of the Yucatan Peninsula. South Florida and Davie are now under a Tropical Storm Warning, which means tropical storm conditions are expected somewhere within the warning area within 36 hours. The system is forecasted to become the first named system of the 2022 Atlantic Hurricane Season, “Alex”, later this afternoon.

DAVIE, Fla. - The Town of Davie is monitoring a tropical system that could bring heavy rainfall into the coming weekend. At this time, there are no watches or warnings issued for South Florida. The track and intensity are uncertain but the system is forecasted to begin impacting South Florida and Davie starting on Friday, June 3, 2022. Over the weekend, the area is anticipated to receive 6-8 inches of rain and 12 inches in some places. For low-lying areas, this may result in possible local flooding.
