Author George Krumme “Tales of our Town” holds book signing

On Saturday, June 24, 2022, an overflow crowd enjoyed the unique experience of hearing history as seen through the 100 year old eyes of Mr. George Krumme, who enthralled the crowd with early tales from Bristow history. Mr. Krumme has recently finished writing a book entitled "Tales of our Town - Early Bristow, Oklahoma" and shared some of the stories with the appreciative crowd. Laughter filled the room as he told about how his wife was an amazing dancer and even won a dance contest one time. Sadly, however, Mr. Krumme was not a dancer and didn't help with the win. He also told the story of how he was present when the Chrysler Tower was originally raised and he discussed the techniques used to accomplish that task. Always quick with a response, Mr. Krumme fielded questions from the audience and it seemed that everyone in the room truly enjoyed the historical moments unfolding in front of us.
