Man arrested after 3-county chase that ended near Lake Lillian

(Lake Lillian MN-) Hawkinson North Dakota man is in the Kandiyohi County Jail after a high speed pursuit that ended in southeast Kandiyohi County Sunday afternoon. The sheriff's department says the chase began in Big Stone County and later terminated for safety reasons. The black Cadillac was then spotted near Clara City, and again, for safety reasons, a pursuit was discontinued. Finally the vehicle was spotted on Highway 7 near Lake Lillian, and after a pursuit, it was found in a field approach near Highway 7 and 90th Street Southeast. The 36-year-old driver was arrested and is in the jail awaiting charges.

Seven Jurors Seated in Allina Clinic Shooter Trial

(KNSI) — Jury selection continues for a third day in the trial of Gregory Ulrich. Ulrich is accused of walking into the Allina Crossroads Buffalo Clinic on February 9th and opening fire, killing one person and seriously injuring four others. Ulrich also allegedly detonated two improvised explosive devices – one at the clinic’s entrance and the other near a desk in the clinic’s interior.

Trial Begins For Man Accused Of Clinic Shooting That Took New Ulm Native’s Life

BUFFALO, Minn. (AP/SMN) — Jury selection is underway in the trial of a man accused of walking into a medical clinic and opening fire, killing one staff member and wounding four others last year. Legion gives to fishing team

Maple Lake American Legion Post 131 recently donated $600 to the newly formed Maple Lake Fishing Team. The club will use the money for team jerseys and other items needed throughout the season. First annual Maple Lake job fair/block party

The year-old Maple Lake Industrial Development Group hopes to fill some positions and have some fun, Thursday, May 19 at its first annual Job Fair/Block Party. From 4 to 8 p.m. at the V by HH job seekers will find an assortment of entry level to skilled positions available at seven participating businesses located in or near the Maple Lake Industrial Park. But this isn’t your average, stuffy career fair. Once job seekers are done visiting with potential employers, they are invited outdoors to the patio where they can enjoy music from Everett Smithson Band or pick a beanbag tournament team to cheer for. Each of the participating business will send a team of two to compete in the tournament where a traveling trophy will be up for grabs. To make searching for a job even more fun, the first 100 people will receive a free hotdog, chips, and pop.
