Federal grand jury in Paducah indicts three men on gun offenses

According to the indictments, a federal grand jury in Paducah returned three indictments in May, charging three men with firearm offenses. The grand jury indicted 43-yer-old Shaun Powers of Hopkinsville on charges of illegal possession of a machine gun, 30-year-old Cleve Nedd, Jr. of Hopkinsville, charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm and 22-year-old Anthony Jones of Indianapolis, Indiana, on charges of engaging in the business of dealing firearms and illegal possession of a machine gun.

IMPD arrests man in shooting death of ride-share driver

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Police said Friday they’ve arrested a suspect in Thursday’s shooting death of a ride-share driver. Just before 6 a.m. Thursday, officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were called to a report of a person shot at the Waterfront Pointe apartments on Rolling Dunes Drive. That’s off of Waterfront Parkway West Drive, just northwest of I-465 and I-74.

On a Friday afternoon in late June, Stiles arrived at the Indianapolis Speedrome about four hours before the first heat race begins. He spent the first part of his afternoon walking around the pits, talking to drivers. One driver barely into his teens had a broken wrist. Another young driver made the honor roll at school. A third has his hair cut into a long mullet. A much older driver who Stiles remembers from years past is now racing alongisde his adult son.

Rokita signals support for ‘no exceptions’ abortion ban
