Here’s the cheapest gas in Grand Island Saturday

(GRAND ISLAND, NE) According to Grand Island gas price data, you could be saving up to $0.10 per gallon on gas. According to a survey by GasBuddy, Sam's Club at 1510 N Diers Ave was the cheapest station in the area, with regular listed at $2.81 per gallon at the pumps Wednesday. That was compared to Pump & Pantry at 821 S Webb Rd, where a gallon of regular was selling for $2.91.

Cairo man arrested for meth, stolen debit cards

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. — A Cairo man is in jail after Grand Island Police said he had more than 30 grams of meth and stolen debit cards in his backpack. According to GIPD, officers observed Brandon Young, 28, leaving a home in the 2000 block of Waugh Street in north Grand Island shortly before 1:15 a.m. Friday morning. Due to having previous contact with Young, GIPD said officers contacted Young who consented to a search of his backpack.

Grand Island Police investigating neighborhood break-ins

Grand Island Police are investigating three burglaries in a neighborhood earlier this week. Capt. Dean Elliott said officers responded Wednesday to a report of a burglary at a home in the 1700 block of Garland Street. The homeowners reported that sometime between Tuesday and Wednesday, an unknown person entered their garage through an unlocked back door. They said the individual then took a purse containing numerous items, including a wallet containing $200 to $300 in cash, from the vehicle.

Grand Island Police investigating theft of items in vehicle

Grand Island Police are investigating after a woman reported $3,600 worth of items were stolen from her vehicle. GIPD said officers were called shortly before 8:30 a.m. Thursday to a home in the 2700 block of Idaho Avenue in northwest Grand Island. The woman told officers someone broke into her vehicle overnight and stole multiple items including a purse, cash and electronics.
