VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) - A Vigo County commissioner says he's glad to see life in a long-time empty building while also raising speculation about a second tenant. The old KMart building on US 41 in southern Vigo County has been empty for years. Last year, we learned Hobby Lobby would move across the street and take a section of the building.

Stores are running out of a lot of things - how about fireworks?

WABASH VALLEY (WTHI) - Firework stores are saying it's been a tale of two years. Sherry's Fireworks in Clinton say they haven't had any problems getting supplies this year. They also order all their own fireworks as opposed to buying from major retailers. This has allowed them to have minimal cost increases in their products.

There is a rain chance Saturday night – Sunday morning. Rainfall could be decent in many places. Then back to dry till maybe later next week. Does look like some rain possible just before the holiday. Temps cool early next week but warm again later next week. Tonight, partly cloudy and 65. Tomorrow, partly sunny and 93. Sunday is cooler and the same to start next week but warmer later next week.

Talk about your experience as a student. What is your major/minor? Did you participate in any other activities or campus organizations other than football?. My experience has been truly phenomenal. My professors truly cared. They respected our time and commitment as student athletes. I graduated Spring of 2021 with a Business Management degree and a minor in Human Capital Management. I will be completing my MBA this fall. I’m also a representative on the Division 1 NCAA Council where we discuss some of the developments over the years including game rules and the onset of NIL contracts.

Local Athletes Compete At Special Olympics State Games

More than 2,000 athletes from 56 delegations came from every corner of the state to demonstrate their skills at Indiana Special Olympics State Games held in Terre Haute from June 17 - 19. Kosciusko County sent 23 athletes to this year’s games. Athletes from eight to 89 years old, competed this year. Competition events include bocce, bowling, cycling, horseshoes, powerlifting, soccer, swimming, track and field, and volleyball. This was the first full in-person competition since 2019. All attending were excited and happy to get together again, renew friendships and have an enjoyable time.
