International Museum Day: 3 Tips for Visiting Museums With Kids

May 18th is International Museum Day! In honor of this special day, here are my favorite tips for visiting museums with children:. Visit local museums. Many cities and towns have museums that are about all kinds of topics. They are usually much smaller than what we typically think of with museums. In the Houston area, we have great local museums like the Black Cowboy Museum in Rosenberg, Art Car Museum in Houston, and MKT Railroad Museum in Katy. These museums usually are much easier to navigate with children and are low cost or even free in some cases.

Texas Woman Goes Insanely Viral After Posting Her Botched Eyebrows

A Texas woman is facing, no pun intended, a huge, embarrassing disaster. Crystal Weinstock of Richmond got the shock of her life after walking out of Kai Brow Bar in Houston. Weinstock went in for a microblading session, which consists of an artist tattooing realistic natural-looking eyebrows over the natural eye hair in an area. There are few things in this world more pleasant than sipping wine and learning about what you’re drinking at a winery. Even better if it comes alongside tremendous food. Put Down the Iced Tea: Coffee Is Resurging in the Barbecue Scene

As the owner and pitmaster of Harlem Road Texas BBQ in Richmond, Ara Malekian is obviously well-known for his barbecue. But he’s gaining notoriety for his signature Armenian coffee too. “At the barbecue events, I do end up spending more time making coffee than smoking meat,” Malekian told me. At last month’s Houston Barbecue Festival, I enjoyed a small cup of the dark, strong brew straight from the copper pot, or jazzve, Malekian travels with. It was a much-needed caffeine boost of a kind that used to be customary for any public barbecue in Texas.
