Grace heats up late to win Portland LIV Golf Invitational

Branden Grace grabbed five of his eight birdies on the back nine on Saturday to pull away for a two-shot win in the Portland LIV Golf Invitational and capture the $4 million first prize. "This new format, everything is amazing and everybody is having a blast," Grace said after the win in the 54-hole event in which there is no cut and all 48 entrants earn some piece of a purse of more than $20 million.

Paul Casey, No. 26 golfer in world, joins LIV Golf tour

NORTH PLAINS, Ore. — Paul Casey, the Englishman ranked No. 26 in the world, has joined the Saudi Arabia-funded LIV Golf tour. Casey, who hasn’t played a tournament round since March because of injuries, plans to make his LIV debut this month at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster. Jessica Hull sets Australian national record in the mile

Jessica Hull made history Saturday night at Jesuit High School, breaking the women’s Australian national record in the mile. Hull, a former Oregon Ducks track star who now trains with the Portland-based and Nike-sponsored Union Athletics Club, finished in a time of 4 minutes, 19.89 seconds to break the former Aussie record by two seconds.
