New Immunization requirements for 11th graders

BLAKELY, GA. (WDHN) — In Georgia, a new state policy is requiring eleventh graders to get an immunization shot. The shot is to protect all kids from the Meningococcal disease, an illness that affects the brain and spinal cord. Early County Superintendent Dr. Bronwyn Ragan-Martin told WDHN that it’s urgent for parents to ensure their kids get this shot or face not returning to school.

Shooting suspect found in Henry County, police say

HENRY COUNTY, Ala. (WDHN) — WDHN has received an update about the Wiregrass manhunt that began on Sunday night. Johnny Wilson, 30, of Abbeville, was captured at around 11 p.m. on Monday night near a powerline south of County Road 32, in between County Road 32 and County Road 134 in Henry County, according to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office.
