GREEN — A Scouts BSA Troop 7335 project that cleaned up an overgrown butterfly garden at Veterans Memorial Park in the fall of 2020 is continuing to grow. Troop 7335, pictured above, chartered in 2019 by Greensburg United Methodist Church, is one of the area’s first all-female Boy Scout troops and has 17 members ages 11-17. Scoutmaster Jodie Amiot said the butterfly garden, shown below, now includes three varieties of milkweed, host plants for native butterflies as well as dill, aster and black-eyed Susan and more than a dozen species of nectar-rich flowers such as mountain mints, coneflower, bee balm, delphinium, salvia and liatris – all of which are food sources for native butterflies.
