18-year-old dies after shooting in Dallas parking garage

Dallas Police are investigating a shooting that took place on Thursday afternoon within an apartment complex's parking garage that ultimately killed an 18-year-old. Police say they received a shooting call at approximately 3:27 p.m. at the Altas Design District Apartments. Once on location at 1516 Inspiration Drive, police found a man on the second story of the parking garage having sustained gunshot wounds. He was subsequently taken to a nearby hospital.

Gunshots fired in direction of Dallas police officer in west Oak Cliff, police say; no one injured

A Dallas police officer was sitting in his patrol car in west Oak Cliff late Friday when several shots were fired in his direction, the department said Saturday. Police said in a news release that no one was injured in the incident, which happened just after 11:30 p.m. in the 5300 block of West Jefferson Boulevard, a stretch of road near South Walton Walker Boulevard that’s dotted with car repair and tire shops and other businesses. After hearing “approximately three gunshots,” the officer got out of the car and called for cover, the release stated.

Semitruck on Airport Freeway hits guardrail, catches fire in Euless Saturday morning

A semitruck caught fire at the 200 block of Airport Freeway in Euless around 3 a.m. Saturday. The fire started after the truck hit a guardrail. A Dallas man has been sentenced to federal prison for drug trafficking violations in the Eastern District of Texas, Acting U.S. Attorney Nicholas J. Ganjei announced Friday. Officials said Gary Collin Bussell, 52, pleaded guilty on Jan. 26, 2021, to possession with intent to distribute and distribution of controlled substances and was sentenced to 360 months in federal prison by U.S. District Judge Sean D.
