Marion "Slim" Williams, 77, of Woodville, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Christus Dubuis Hospital of Beaumont, Texas. A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, May 20, 2022 beginning 10 a.m. until memorial service time at 11 a.m. in the Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville. Officiating will be Brother Lewis Jones and Brother Larry Williams.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Robert Trapp as the presiding judge of the Second Administrative Judicial Region, effective May 21, 2022, for a term set to expire four years from the date of qualification. Trapp is replacing the Honorable Judge Olen Underwood, who is retiring after 26 years as the presiding judge.

Authorities Working to Trap a Monkey that Got Loose in Corrigan, Texas
