Nekoosa man, 45, dead after motorcycle hits deer in Saratoga

SARATOGA - A 45-year-old Nekoosa man has died a week after his motorcycle hit a deer on Ranger Road, according to the Wood County Sheriff's Department. At 1 a.m. June 5, Edward D. Hardwick was riding his motorcycle west on Ranger Road when the deer ran in front of him, according to the Sheriff's Department crash report. Hardwick was thrown from the motorcycle and landed in the north ditch.

Wednesday night, Tyler Clark, 21, and Jewel Baker, 19 were heading home to Moss Hill. Not far from SH 146 they ran into a 1500 pound steer in the middle of the roadway. Neither was seriously injured however their vehicle was totaled. Liberty County Deputies were trying to identify where the steer, which did have a tag escaped from. Smith Towing removed the vehicle and steer from the roadway.

Man killed in single-vehicle accident on FM 1008

A 27-year-old man, Randy Micah Butler Everett, of Conroe, was killed Tuesday morning, May 18, around 11 a.m. in a single-vehicle accident on FM 1008 near Kenefick. According to Sgt. Rob Willoughby, who heads the Liberty County DPS office, Everett was traveling northbound in a 1999 Toyota Celica when he exited the roadway and struck a row of trees. He was killed upon impact.

LIBERTY COUNTY – Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers responded to a fatality crash on FM 1008, 17 miles southeast of Cleveland, TX. The preliminary crash investigation indicates on May 18, at approximately 11:04 a.m., a 1999 Toyota Celica veered off the roadway and struck a tree while traveling north on FM 1008. The driver of the Toyota, 27-year-old Randy M. Everett out of Conroe, TX, died at the scene. This is an ongoing investigation. There is no additional information available for release at this time.

Truck careens over Trinity River bridge on FM 787

Update: The driver passed away after reaching Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston. The name is still being withheld pending the notification of his next of kin. A 51-year-old Porter man was critically injured Monday after driving off the Trinity River bridge on FM 787 in north Liberty County to avoid an oncoming vehicle.
