Dan Gilbert envisions thousands of homes where he once envisioned a gleaming casino along the Cuyahoga River: The Wake Up podcast

CLEVELAND, Ohio — There’s a new plan to develop land along the Cuyahoga River in downtown Cleveland ... although it’s not really a new idea. You can listen online here. A real estate company owned by Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert wants to add thousands of homes, offices and other development on more than 100 acres along the river, including the Collision Bend area. This isn’t the first time Gilbert has proposed developing this section of the river ... he originally proposed putting a casino there. In the radio world, two NPR stations — WKSU FM/89.7 and WCPN FM/90.3 — will merge operations next year. And Cuyahoga County Executive Armond Budish is urging all Cuyahoga County residents to wear masks indoors, regardless of vaccination status.
