It’s back! The CSLC Annual HIPPY Fund Fest and Motorcycle Show

Recently, more than 200 guests attended the 3rd Annual HIPPY Fund Fest and Motorcycle Show held on the recreation grounds of the Community Students Learning Center (CSLC) in Lexington, Miss. The fund fest had been on hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. HIPPY (Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters) is an international research-based early learning program that helps parents prepare their preschoolers for school success.

The Museum of the Mississippi Delta, formerly known as the Cottonlandia Museum, continues to undergo a makeover. According to its website, it changed its name because the museum is about Greenwood being more than just a land of cotton, which is certainly a noble gesture. In keeping with the intended makeover, there is a great deal of construction and rearranging taking place inside the museum.

TUPELO - The local Salvation Army is looking for 30 additional campers for its annual regional camp. Camp Hidden Lake is the annual camp of the Salvation Army Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi (ALM) Division. The 300-acre camp in Lexington, MS provides a traditional summer camp experience for thousands of children from ages six to 17. Five camps take place from June 13 to July 23, focusing on adventure, music, and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, & Math).
