Ludene J. Rice (nee Schluter) of Saint Peters, MO (formerly of Camdenton, MO), passed away on Monday, at the age of 91. Ludene was preceded in death by her husband, Doan Rice; her parents Harold and Beulah Schluter; and her son, Randy Hargis. Ludene was the devoted mother of Ronald (Judy) Hargis, Gary (Debbie) Hargis, and the late Randy Hargis. She was the treasured sister of Bob (Sandra) Schluter and Ray (Julia) Schluter. She was the caring stepmother of Janet Horner, Bill (Colleen) Jones, Peggy Wolford, the late Connie Barker (Rice), and the late Bob Rice. She was the loving grandmother of Jessica Roy and Michael Hargis. She was the beloved step-grandmother of Lori Menne, Aaron Menne, Jason Menne, Heather Yost, Stephanie Rice, and the late Tiffany Rice. She was the cherished great-grandmother of Mackenzie, Brody, Noah and Jemma. She was the loved step-great-grandmother to many more. A dear aunt, cousin, and friend to many.

Bothwell Regional Health Center has completed its Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA), and the report was approved by the Bothwell Board of Trustees at its May meeting. As a nonprofit hospital organization, Bothwell is required by IRS tax code to conduct a CHNA every three years. The goal of the assessment is to understand progress in addressing community health needs outlined in the previous CHNA and collect current community health perceptions. Feedback allows Bothwell to understand what community members see as the most important health issues affecting their communities and provides the foundation for prioritizing health needs and developing strategies to address future needs.
