4 injured in fire at Genesee Township apartment complex

GENESEE TWP., MI – Four people were injured during a fire at an apartment complex in Genesee Township early Friday morning. Fire crews responded around 5 a.m. Friday, July 1 to Bristol Court Apartments off North Saginaw Road. Upon arriving at the scene, crews saw flames through the roof of the complex, according to Mt. Morris Fire Chief James Young.

Entering the 4th of July Holiday weekend, the City of Bradford Police would like to remind the public of a few fireworks related laws and regulations. Only people 18 and older are allowed to buy, possess or use consumer fireworks. Fireworks are only allowed to be used on public or private property with the owners written consent and cannot be set off within 150 feet of an occupied structure, under trees, or power lines.

Pitt appoints president to lead Bradford, Titusville campuses

The University of Pittsburgh has appointed Rick Esch as the president of its Bradford and Titusville campuses, effective July 1. Esch had been serving as interim president for the past year. He began his career at Pitt-Bradford in 1995 as director of auxiliary services, later becoming vice president for business affairs.
