Vanessa Guillen: Judge denies motion to toss confession of Cecily Aguilar, girlfriend of Fort Hood soldier’s killer

A federal judge on Wednesday denied a request to toss out the confession by the woman accused of helping dismembered the body of Fort Hood soldier Vanessa Guillen. Cecily Aguilar, the girlfriend of murder suspect Aaron Robinson, asked in March to throw out the confession, saying she was not read her Miranda rights at the start of an interrogation about the whereabouts of Robinson, who was also a Fort Hood soldier, as CrimeOnline previously reported.

Career criminal is released from jail DAYS before he stabs 94-year-old Asian woman in broad daylight: Reports

A California man who randomly stabbed a 94-year-old woman on Wednesday was released from jail days before the unprovoked attack, according to reports. Daniel Cauich, 35, was arrested two hours after allegedly stabbing Anh “Peng” Taylor multiple times in San Francisco. The victim’s niece told KPIX that Taylor claimed bystanders did not stop to help her, but one witness did call 911.

‘Piece of crap’ asst. principal films daughter’s nude friend, blames it on his 9-year-old son

An Alabama man who filmed his daughter’s friend naked and blamed it on his son has finally admitted his guilt, according to Blount County District Attorney Pamela Casey. In 2018, 54-year-old Tim Clevenger was convicted of the production of child pornography and possession of child pornography involving a minor victim, but never acknowledged what he did. On Thursday, Clevenger was convicted of two additional counts of child porn production, as well as child porn possession.

The California home where the Manson family killed a couple in 1969 sold this week $1.875 million. According to SFGate, an anonymous buyer purchased the Los Feliz residence after “Ghost Adventures” host Zak Bagans purchased it for $1.889 million in 2019. Bagans reportedly nixed plans to film an investigation there, as he found it disrespectful to the victims’ family, and put it on sale for $2.2 million in October 2020.

44 years later, Louisiana husband arrested for shooting wife in the back, killing her: Police

A Louisiana man was arrested last week after police said he shot his wife in the back, killing her 44 years ago. The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office reports that 78-year-old Chester Vegas Sr. was arrested last Monday and charged with second-degree murder. He’s been accused of killing Diane Vegas, 32 at the time. The incident occurred at the couple” restaurant, The Chicken House, in Golden Meadow on October 10, 1977.

Father of missing Summer Wells has criminal history: Police

Investigators searching for a missing 5-year-old girl in Tennessee held a news conference Thursday with the latest on the investigation. As CrimeOnline previously reported, authorities issued an AMBER Alert for missing Summer Wells, who has not been seen since at least Tuesday evening in Hawkins County. Multiple agencies, including the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) and the FBI have joined in a land and drone search for the little girl.

Missing Summer Wells: AMBER Alert remains active, police to share update Thursday

Authorities from multiple agencies continue the search for 5-year-old Summer Wells, who went missing from her east Tennessee home on Tuesday evening. As CrimeOnline previously reported, Wells was last seen walking away from her home in the Beech Creek community of Hawkins County. Investigators immediately launched a ground search, which Hawkins County Sheriff Ronnie Lawson said at a news conference Wednesday was difficult to to challenging, dense terrain and unreliable cell phone service. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) and the FBI have joined the investigation.

16-year-old Alabama boy charged with killing Army vet mom

A 16-year-old Alabama boy has been arrested and charged with killing his mother and setting fire to their home. Firefighters were called to the scene of a house in Mobile just after midnight Tuesday morning and saw thick smoke and flames coming out of the back of the house. They extinguished the blaze, but found a badly burned body inside.

Suspect in murders of dad, mom, & sis tells cops a masked intruder did it

An Iowa man has been charged with three counts of first degree murder in the shooting deaths of his mother, father, and sister. Police responded to the northeastern Cedar Rapids home of Jan Perry Jackson, 61, and Melissa Ferne Jackson at about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday when they were called there by 20-year-old Alexander Ken Jackson. The younger Jackson told dispatchers that he and his father had been shot by a male intruder, the Cedar Rapids Gazette reports.

Gunman targeted white men in 2-day shooting spree that injured 5: Police

Investigators said a shooting spree that occurred on Friday and Saturday in Georgia and Alabama that left five people injured appears to have been motivated by race. Justin Roberts, 39, allegedly committed two shootings in Columbus, Georgia, and one in Phenix City, Alabama, in a 20-hour span. AL.com reported that a victim was shot multiple times during the first shooting in Phenix City on Friday night, two hours before the second shooting in Columbus that left three people wounded.

Local, state and federal authorities are investigating the disappearance of a 5-year-old girl who is missing in Tennessee. As WATE reports, 5-year-old Summer Wells was last seen walking from her home Tuesday evening in the Beech Creek community of Hawkins County. Authorities initially issued an endangered child alert, but as of Wednesday upgraded it to an AMBER Alert, citing “new information and growing concern,” WATE reports.
