Allen County sheriff’s office IDs man who allegedly shot deputy

LIMA — Authorities on Friday identified the man who allegedly shot a deputy in the face early Tuesday morning and died in the gunfire exchange. Quincy J. Pritchett, 43, of Lima, has been positively identified as the deceased suspect, according to a press release from the Allen County Sheriff’s Office.

Suspect in Officer Involved Shooting in Lima Identified

The deceased suspect from the officer involved shooting incident this past Tuesday in Lima has been positively identified. According to a release from the Allen County Sheriff’s Office, 43 year old Quincy J. Pritchett failed to stop when a deputy from the Allen County Sheriff’s Office attempted to make a traffic stop.

I’m in my 70s now, so I know I won’t see any major changes in my lifetime. If I could, one would be to bury all communication and electrical lines. These lines are tremendously costly to repair (in summer storms and winter ice). This will probably never happen because of the obvious cost involved.

Family honors lost loved one with a food drive to benefit others

A family finds a special way to honor a loved one they lost due to COVID. A food drive, in the memory of Emily Miller, was held at the Cridersville Fire Department Saturday morning. The Miller’s family says there was a constant stream of people dropping of canned and other food items. The food collected will be divided among the Cridersville Food Pantry, Mercy Unlimited, and God's Storehouse. Some other food items will be taken to the Cridersville Elementary school. Miller passed away at the end of last year and would have turned 34 next week. Her family is glad that her giving spirit will live on with this food drive that will benefit others.

Great Ohio Bicycle Adventure Arrives to Wapakoneta

The Great Ohio Bicycle Adventure, also known as GOBA, rolled into the Auglaize County Fairgrounds in Wapakoneta on Monday. GOBA is an annual eight-day bicycle tour. On average, bicyclists ride 50 miles per day exploring the different attractions and destinations that predetermined host cities have to offer. Host cities also provide a large camping site for riders known as a Gobaville. This year, the tour takes place in western Ohio with riders arriving in Sidney on Saturday. On Sunday, some participated in an optional loop from Sidney to Versailles and back while others explored the City of Sidney before arriving in Wapakoneta today. While GOBA provides an opportunity for bicyclists to ride, the impact on nearby communities goes far beyond the trail.
