Diesel price update: Survey pinpoints Marble Falls's cheapest

(MARBLE FALLS, TX) You could be saving up to $0.22 per gallon on diesel in Marble Falls, according to a recent price survey. The survey, which looked at prices across the Marble Falls area on Tuesday, found that H-E-B at 1503 W Fm-1431had the cheapest advertised diesel, at just $2.77 per gallon. By comparison, the most expensive station in the area was Chevron at 6924 W Fm-1431, which listed a per-gallon price of $2.99.

Car in Lake LBJ may be due to ‘distracted’ driving

A female driver and her car ended up partially submerged in Lake LBJ in Horseshoe Bay shortly before 5 p.m. Tuesday. According to police, the driver was headed eastbound on FM 2147 in the 6200 block, just west of Bunny Run, when her vehicle struck the curb on the south side of the road, overcorrected to the north side of the road and rolled off the bridge and into the water.

On Saturday the cheapest gallon of unleaded regular in the area was at Major Brand at 407 N Us-281. Regular there was listed at $2.44 per gallon Wednesday, compared to $2.79 at Texan Mart at 6802 W Fm-2147, which GasBuddy clocked as the most expensive station in the area.

Central Park roads, Great Divide crossing top June 8 Bee Cave City Council meeting

Bee Cave City Council will revisit several issues June 8 that have to do with development of roads and bridges within the city’s jurisdiction. First on the agenda will be a staff request of council to publish a request for proposals, or RFP, for the specific engineering, design and construction of a bridge at Great Divide Drive and Little Barton Creek. Under the staff proposal, council members and staff would begin the process of accepting and reviewing responses to the RFP in June, and council then would award a contract in early August.
