ST. LOUIS — Two teenagers are facing federal charges after police said they stole arrow keys from mail carriers at gunpoint earlier this month. A press release from U.S. Attorney Sayler Fleming of the Eastern District of Missouri said 19-year-old Roy Lee Jones and 18-year-old Xavier Sean Boyd were charged with two counts of robbery and two counts of theft of a mail key on June 15.

ST. LOUIS – A judge has sentenced a St. Louis man to federal prison after his conviction in multiple crimes involving guns and drugs. Carlos Bell Jr. was sentenced to six years in prison. He pleaded guilty to criminal charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm and possession with intent to distribute fentanyl.

EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill — Last year, Empire 13 nonprofit Director JD Dixon lead about a hundred people on a march to commemorate the 1917 East St. Louis Race Riot. "The white workers were striking, the black workers took the jobs and then the white terrorist mob got mad, came down here and murdered and slaughtered women, children, men and just destroyed homes and businesses," Dixon said.

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV) -Nearly 1,000 jobs could be lost following a potential closure of the U.S. Steel Plant in Granite City. 950 jobs would be cut in if the deal goes through, according to U.S. Steel. Those workers and union leaders tell News 4 there aren’t enough similar jobs in the Granite City area for those affected workers to rebound.

First baseman Paul Goldschmidt and third baseman Nolan Arenado are NL All-Star finalists at their positions, with a chance to start the July 19 game in Los Angeles.

NEW YORK — St. Louis Cardinals players Paul Goldschmidt and Nolan Arenado advanced to the second phase of voting for the 2022 All-Star Game. The second phase will be used to determine who will start the All-Star game. Goldschmidt will go up against New York’s Pete Alonso for the first base spot and Arenado will face San Diego’s Manny Machado for third base.

ALTON - The Rockin' with Robert summer schedule continues with a small change in performers for this month. Darr and Winer are part of the Ralph Butler Trio, and Glenn will be filling in for Butler, who is recuperating from a health issue. ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV) - Schnucks donated to Operation Food Search (OFS) Thursday to help a mobile grocery store get fresh produce to serve local areas. OFS plans to use the $15,000 donation to distribute 2,000, $5 fresh produce vouchers to members of four area organizations including Affinia Healthcare, CareSTL Health, and the International Institute of St. Louis. MetroMarket will also be able to make five-weekend flex stops at other community sites with an additional $5,000.

St. Louis City SC has picked local rapper Mvstermind to select music by local musicians that the club will play at matches and events. The team announced last week that as the soccer club’s director of musical experience, Mvstermind will curate the music from fan suggestions during the club’s inaugural season. Fans will use an online form to select the local artists and songs they’d like to hear played at games.

A jail-related death is under investigation Monday. Angela J. Brown, 55, was arrested in Brentwood after being accused of shoplifting.

A 13-year-old driver was “the lone survivor” of a deadly crash that killed two other teenagers and a 9-year-old child, authorities in Missouri say. The four kids were traveling in an “older model vehicle” before the car crashed into a tree early Monday, June 27, according to the Florissant Police Department.

After breaking ground in 2020, the new Jack C. Taylor Visitor Center at the Missouri Botanical Garden will be ready to open this August.
