Naperville man charged in drug induced homicide

A Naperville man is being charged with drug induced homicide in the death of an Aurora man. 25-year-old Samuel Nesnidal, of Naperville, is accused of selling drugs to 24-year-old Austin Bank, of Aurora, that led to his death in 2020. Police say they were called to the 200 block of Commonwealth Avenue on October 2, 2020 where they found Bank dead in his home. An autopsy found that Bank died from combined fentanyl and ketamine intoxication.

Gramke’s Goal Sends QND Past U-High And Into State Final

Normal U-High and Quincy Notre Dame saw each other in a state championship in 2017 and this year they faced off again at North Central College with a chance to go to the title game. Sophie Gramke came up with a goal 13:22 into the game to put the Raiders ahead 1-0 and that was all the needed as they held on for the victory. The Pioneers are now 21-4-3 and will play Lombard Montini tomorrow at 3pm for third place.

The unemployment rate in Kendall County was down in April according to the Illinois Department of Employment Security. The April rate was at 2.9 percent. The March rate was at 3.2 percent. In the overall region that includes Kendall County, and several others, the April rate was at 4.1 percent....

Soccer 1a State Finals Set…2a/3a Post Season Continues

The 1a girls soccer season had their state semifinals yesterday at North Central College in Naperville with a couple of great games. Richmond Burton edged Lombard Montini 1-0 while Quincy Notre Dame beat Normal University by the same 1-0 score. Richmond and Quincy play for the title today at 5pm after the 3pm 3rd place game with Lombard and Normal.
