Homestead fatal shooting under investigation

MIAMI -  Miami-Dade police detectives were investigating a fatal shooting in Homestead on Saturday morning. Police were called to 1389 NW 14th Street, at around 3:30 a.m., after the body of a man was found in the rear alleyway.Once the units arrived, they discovered a male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to the scene and pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The preliminary information is leading investigators to believe that this may have been a domestic-related incidentCBS4 cameras captured a woman being placed in handcuffs. Authorities suspect the woman is the victim's girlfriend, but that has not been confirmed.The unidentified woman was transported to the homicide bureau for further questioning. No other details had been made available.

Lightning strikes Plantation home, causing fire inside residence

MIAMI - Plantation fire officials responded to a house that was struck by lightning on Saturday afternoon. They said that the lightning strike caused a water heater inside the house to catch on fire inside the residence. The fire department said it happened at around 3:30 p.m. in the 6200 block of SW 5th Street.Firefighters quickly put out the fire and dealt with a reported gas leak.It is not clear if the gas leak was at the house impacted by lightning.  There were no reported injuries related to this incident. 

Man accused of threatening security guard with gun outside Wilton Manors bar

MIAMI - A Fort Lauderdale man is facing serious charges after being accused of threatening a security guard with a  gun outside a gay bar in Wilton Manors. The man was identified as Kenneth Justesen, 45. He was outside the GYM Sportsbar Friday night, in the 2200 block of Wilton Drive when the incident happened. A video obtained by CBS4 shows Justesen wearing a 'Let's go Brandon' t-shirt, which is a profane dig at President Biden, as he had an exchange of words with the bar's security guard.The exchange soon grew to a verbal altercation in which Justesen is hear saying, "What the (expletive) are you going to do?"Then, the video shows him pulling what appears to be a handgun and holding it beside him. He allegedly told the security guard that he can, "show his gun."The incident on the same night as a gunman opened fire in Oslo's nightlife district, killing two men and injuring more than 20 other people injured during an LGBTQ Pride festival in Norway's capital. Justesen faces several charges including use of a firearm under the influence of alcohol. Records show he has prior runnings with the law.
