10-7 Retreat Chooses Davis Family for Cruise

The non-profit Ten-Seven Retreat was in Bartlesville on Friday, July 1 to present a vacation to the Kyle Davis Family. Ten-Seven offers reprieve, relaxation and new adventures for families of fallen law enforcement as they write a new chapter in their family book. Through donations from local residents in Oklahoma, the Davis Family will be flown to Florida for a few days of fun and then experience five days on the open seas with fishing, swimming and other activities as part of a stay on a private island.

Arkansas man facing charges after four-county chase in southeast Kansas

Officials in Chautauqua County have a 37-year-old Arkansas man in custody after a chase on a stolen motorcycle. Deputies were chasing the motorcycle through Elk, Greenwood and Butler counties before the bike crashed on U.S. Highway 166 west of Sedan. The motorcycle collided with a pickup at that location. The rider, who is from Little Rock, Arkansas, was taken to a hospital in serious condition. The pickup driver was not hurt.

Family of fallen Oklahoma officer receives free vacation to Bahamas

BARTLESVILLE, Okla. — The family of Kyle Davis, a fallen Washington County Sheriff’s deputy, was chosen as the first recipient of the Ten-Seven Retreat. The ceremony was organized by Ten-Seven, a non-profit serving families of law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty. The organization was named because “10-7″ because that is the police code for “out of service.”
