Sit, Stay, Read and Mineral Wells Cleanup with the Guthrie Library

Kris Kutay led story time in Mineral Wells Park last Wednesday. The group was reading about oceans and how to keep them safe and clean, as part of their Ocean of Possibilities summer program. Kutay led the children and their parents in a park cleanup, picking up trash before enjoying the splash pad. Sit, stay, read, with Sandi Colby and her therapy dog Handsome Rob, followed the park cleanup with some wonderful stories as well.

I have written several articles on how noise can help or hinder you on the water. These articles allude to how you can “call in” fish by making certain kinds of noise. There are other noises that do keep fish from biting and I will try to cover some of these as well.

Weatherford’s Fairy Tale Getaway

Green grass and blooming wildflowers covered the rolling hills of a local 350-acre forest ranch as we drove in for an overnight getaway on a spring afternoon.
