ROSEVILLE (CBS13) — A suspect is now in custody after an early morning fight in Roseville left one man dead. Roseville police say, just before 3 a.m. Monday, police responded to reports of an altercation on the 100 block of North Sunrise Avenue. After officers arrived on the scene, they determined that the fight was between two men. One of them was pronounced dead on the scene and the other got in a car and left. 21-year-old arrested after fight turns deadly in Roseville, police say

ROSEVILLE, Calif. — A man was found dead in Roseville after a fight in the early hours of Monday morning, the Roseville Police Department said in a social media post. Officers responded to reports of an altercation around 3 a.m. near the 100 block of North Sunrise Avenue. Police said in a Facebook post that a fight happened between two men. One man was pronounced dead at the scene another person left the area in a vehicle.

Accident on Marconi Avenue Includes Double T-Bone Crash. A multiple-vehicle crash occurred in Carmichael on May 13, involving a double T-bone accident. The collision occurred along Marconi Avenue between Walnut and Root avenues around 3:24 p.m. The accident was reported by a caller to the California Highway Patrol (CHP) who said they heard but did not see the accident.

Rocklin Resident Says She Mistook Fox Kit For Kitten

ROCKLIN (CBS13) – A Rocklin resident says she didn’t know that the “kitten” she rescued was actually a fox kit. Rocklin police say the resident found the animal last week. After realizing that the little critter was not a kitten, a concerned family member called police and animal control. The animal has since been taken to the Gold Country Wildlife Rescue to be treated. Exactly what kind of fox was found is not clear, but gray foxes are commonly found all throughout the US. Red foxes are also founded in parts of the country, but not as commonly in California.

Colfax approves chicken ordinance

The Colfax City Council approved the Limitations on Number of Animals ordinance, also known as the chicken ordinance, during its May 11 meeting. With the ordinance, the city will achieve compliance with Senate Bill 1383 and related regulations, divert food waste from going to the landfill and minimize disposal costs to homeowners and supplement food sources for Colfax residents.

Motorcyclist Injured on Kirkby Way in Single-Vehicle Accident. A motorcycle accident in North Highlands caused major injuries to the rider on May 13. The accident happened along Kirkby Way between Roseville Road and Penwith Way around 6:40 p.m. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP) incident report, it was unclear whether this was a single-vehicle collision or another car or truck was involved.

On Sunday morning around 4:30 a.m., Citrus Heights police were called out to the 6100 block of Auburn Boulevard on reports of a stabbing. At the scene, officers found two teens — ages 16 and 17 — and one adult all with multiple stab wounds.
