A Leitchfield man has been arrested after being accused of driving drunk on a moped and falling over in the middle of the street. Wednesday afternoon at approximately 5:45, the Leitchfield Police Department and EMS responded to the intersection of West Main Street and North Claggett Drive on the report of a moped accident. Upon arriving at the scene, a witness told police that the moped operator, 61-year-old Roger L. Burks, was traveling east on West Main Street when he “just fell over in the middle of the street.”

Armed Robbery Suspect Arrested

A tip shared with Hardin County Crime Stoppers is being credited to help the Elizabethtown Police Department make an arrest Tuesday of an armed robbery suspect. Less than 32 hours after The Bug’s Ear Boutique, across from the hospital, was robbed at knife point, Elizabethtown Police took 60 year-old Richard Earl McDaniel, of Elizabethtown, into custody around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. McDaniel is charged with first-degree robbery and being held in the Hardin County Detention Center under a $25,000 cash bond. He is scheduled to be arraigned in Hardin District Court Wednesday, June 29.

At 1:54PM on 06/28/2022 the Meade County Sheriff's Department released the following BOLO to the public:. On Saturday, 25 June 2022, Deputies were called to a theft of a vehicle at Dodge's Convenience Store in Muldraugh. The persons of interest entered the store and purchased multiple items prior to leaving. Upon exiting the business, the persons of interest observed a vehicle running in the parking lot and subsequently stole the vehicle traveling north on Dixie Highway towards Louisville, KY. The suspects stole a 2005 Ford F-250 FX4 4 Door White in color with a tan strip on the bottom bearing Kentucky License Plate 012YKF. Two stickers are on the rear window of the truck one is a "2nd Amendment" Sticker, and the other is a subdued target reading Group Therapy.
