Two teens arrested in Mooresville shooting incident

Two teens have been charged in connection with shots being fired in Mooresville early Sunday morning that resulted in one person being injured. Anazi Nykeem Quiller, 18, of Mooresville, and Jaylon Edmond Westbrook, 19, of Sherrills Ford, were each charged with felony discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling. Westbrook was also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. A magistrate ordered Westbrook held without bond due to the seriousness of the charges and his current probation/parole status for other felony convictions, the Mooresville Police Department reported in a news release.

Sheriff: Mooresville woman, Taylorsville man arrested on felony drug charge

A search warrant at a Mooresville residence led to the arrests of two people on a felony drug charge. Christine Yvonne Mays, 47, of Charlotte Highway, Mooresville, and Allen Jennings Campbell, 33, of Liledoun Road, Taylorsville, were arrested. Mays was charged with felony possession with intent to sell or deliver crystal methamphetamine and felony maintaining a dwelling, vehicle or place for the sale or use of a controlled substance. A magistrate set bond at $50,000.

Police say a woman reported missing in Lincoln County on April 29th has been located and is safe. Sherry Lee Cornell, 47, was found by Newton Police on Saturday, June 25th.
