Man Follows Woman From NYC To Connecticut, Attacks Her, Police Say

A Fairfield County man has been nabbed for allegedly following a woman home from New York City and assaulting her. The incident ended on Wednesday, June 9, in Norwalk. An off-duty Norwalk Police Officer observed Andrew Delarosa, age 20, of Stamford, push the victim on the sidewalk, Norwalk PD Lt. Terrence Blake said.

Woman Critically Injured in Fall From Connecticut Cliff

MERIDEN, Conn. (AP) — A woman was critically injured Tuesday in a fall from a cliff at a popular park for hiking in Connecticut. Ken Morgan, Meriden's fire chief, said the hiker fell 65 feet (19.8 meters) from the cliff above Castle Craig at Hubbard Park and tumbled another 120 feet (36.6 meters).

This frightening video serves as a reminder to all Connecticut drivers to be aware of their surroundings and the traffic around them at all times,” the Connecticut State Police said. “Thankfully the driver in front of this runaway truck was able to avoid being struck and pulled off the road safely because they were paying attention. The State Police Truck Squad actively conducts enforcement on highways, conducting inspections on trucks to prevent incidents like this!”

WATERFORD — Connecticut State Police are asking for help to identify the driver of a motorcycle that allegedly rear-ended another driver last week and fled. Troopers responded to a reported multi-vehicle crash near Exit 82 of Route 85 around 4:50 p.m. July 30 and found that a motorcycle had rear-ended a vehicle that was stopped in traffic for an unrelated accident, state police from the Troop E barracks said.
