JACKSON, Mo. (KFVS) - A 3-on-3 basketball tournament was held in Jackson in an effort to preserve the Jackson City State Park basketball courts. “It started a few months ago,” said Josh Lukefahr, the tournament organizer. “I wanted to do a project, a GoFundMe page, to rehab the courts. It needs new surfaces. It news new goals and rims and things, so my goal was to raise money for the City of Jackson specifically for the basketball courts so we can have a nice place for kids to play like I did. I grew up here playing.”

SOAR Focus Summit held, promotes entrepreneurship and innovation in Hazard

HAZARD — In preparation for the upcoming SOAR Summit to be held later this year, Hazard hosted a SOAR Focus Summit, presented by Kentucky Power and Kentucky Innovation, on June 23-24. During the SOAR Focus Summit, the City of Hazard hosted more than 300 professionals from across the region to learn about innovation and entrepreneurship. The conference largely took place at Hazard Community and Technical College, but an opening reception was held in downtown Hazard on June 23, allowing participants to see the growth of businesses located downtown.

CLAY COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Questions are being raised after an important part of a roadside makeshift veteran’s memorial in southern Kentucky was taken. Sgt.
