Four young PA men charged in robbery at Ocean City motel

Three men and a 17-year-old boy were arrested in Ocean City last weekend after allegedly robbing and assaulting a man in a motel room downtown. Jelyja Joseph Malcom, 18, D’andre Xavier Sampson, 18, and a 17-year-old juvenile, all of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, and Jaden Shawn Mallery, 18, of Canonsburg, Pennsylvania were arrested by Ocean City Police on June 25 near 20th Street and charged with robbery, assault, theft, and reckless endangerment.

2 people flown to the hospital after being struck by tri-axle truck

BLAIRSVILLE, Pa. — Yellow caution tape blocked off every corner of one of Blairsville’s busiest intersections for over an hour after a tri-axle hit two people Thursday. “We really didn’t know until we got on scene that it was multiple pedestrians involved with a truck as it was making its way through the intersection,” Ab Dettorre of Blairsville Fire Department said.

Pennsylvania man busted with $90K in raw fentanyl injured officer during arrest, authorities say

A Pennsylvania man was busted with $90,000 worth of fentanyl in powder form after a months-long drug trafficking investigation concluded on Tuesday, authorities said. Cortez M. Haselrig, 25, was in possession of 50 grams of raw fentanyl when he was arrested at the Giant Eagle Parking Lot in Ligonier, the Westmoreland County District Attorney’s Office said in a statement. Ligonier is a town located about 50 miles east of Pittsburgh.

Driver suspected of DUI after truck tractor becomes lodged in Dauphin County home: police

The driver of a truck tractor that became embedded in a Derry Township home on Thursday evening is being investigated for driving under the influence, according to police. Emergency crews were called around 5:30 p.m. to the 1400-1500 block of East Derry Road, where the truck tractor portion of a tractor-trailer had driven into the front corner of a home, Derry Township police said.

Two people were injured in a crash late Thursday morning at one of Blairsville Borough’s busiest intersections. Indiana County 911 first reported the crash at 11:22 AM at the intersection of East Market Street and Walnut Street. Blairsville and Black Lick fire crews were called out along with the Blairsville Police Department, Citizens Ambulance and Mutual Aid Ambulance also called out.

2 charged in rash of vehicle break-ins in Westmoreland County

Two people are facing charges in connection with more than two dozen vehicle break-ins across Westmoreland County, according to court papers. Troopers said the suspects — Shelby Lynn Stamm, 26, of Youngstown and John Mitchell Hughes, 30, of Orlando, Fla. — stole cash, guns, designer sunglasses, wallets and other items.
