Teacher placed on leave after parents of non-verbal children with disabilities learned that she allegedly verbally and physically abused, sprayed them in the face with water when they got too excited

Elementary school teacher was placed on administrative leave pending an investigation after parents of two non-verbal children with disabilities learned that the minors were verbally and physically abused for some time by the teacher, even though the teacher facing the accusations knew them very well as she has taught the children since kindergarten. The incident, understandably, left local residents and parents of other children outraged.

The number of racial incidents in California is constantly on the rise in the last couple of years and the rising trend is expected to continue this year too. Firefighters put out a vegetation fire near Concord

Concord, California – A vegetation fire that broke out near Concord on Friday drew multiple fire units to the scene. By 1 p.m. on Friday, firefighters from the Contra Costa Fire Protection District had arrived at the site and reported that the grass fire was quickly spreading. The fire was only getting started at this point. There was no information immediately available on whether the fire posed a danger to any residences or other structures in the area.
