Snowflake/Taylor Collisions June 1-14, 2022

Two collisions were investigated by Snowflake-Taylor police officers during the period of June 1-14, according to dispatcher reports. At 11:05 p.m. on Saturday, June 4, a single vehicle rollover, with injuries occurred on South 2nd West Street and 9th South Street in Snowflake. The vehicle involved was a 1997 green GMC Sierra driven by a 16-year-old Lakeside girl. According to the report, the girl was driving south on 2nd West Street, passing through the intersection at 9th South Street. It is believed that there were several juveniles in the bed of the truck that began to yell to the girl that she had missed her turn. The girl then stopped, put the truck into reverse and accelerated at a high rate of speed heading north on 2nd West Street. The juveniles in the bed of the truck then yelled to the girl that she was about to hit the north east curb at the intersection. The girl then over turned the steering wheel to avoid the curb causing the front end of the truck to swing around and then rollover. The girl was transported to a Phoenix area hospital for treatment of her injuries. Others identified at the scene were Jonathan Cable, 20, of Lakeside who was arrested for underage drinking and underage possession of alcohol, a 17-year-old Lakeside boy was issued a juvenile referral for underage possession of alcohol and a 17-year-old Vernon boy was issued a juvenile referral for underage drinking. The investigation remains ongoing.
