Major I-10 closure planned for weekend

Phoenix-area drivers can expect a significant closure this weekend, from June 24-27, on the eastbound Interstate 10. The Arizona Department of Transportation, or ADOT, will be conducting construction between routes 51 and 60. This work is scheduled to occur from 10 p.m. Friday, June 24, to 4 a.m. Monday, June 27.

A new restaurant opening has come into a spot in Gilbert where a longtime restaurateur family had operated eateries. Mr. Zeke’s opened June 15 at 1422 W. Warner Road, Ste. A100, Gilbert. Prep & Pastry to open new Heritage District location

Prep & Pastry is expected to open a new location this fall in downtown Gilbert at 313 N. Gilbert Road, Gilbert. Their new location was formerly home to Da’Bayou Creole Kitchen and The Brass Tap, which closed in November 2021 and June 2020, respectively. The breakfast-and-brunch spot will offer omelettes, pancakes, toast, pastries and more.

Autism therapy location scheduled to open in Chandler

Hopebridge Autism Therapy Centers will open a new location in Chandler in August, according to a news release. Services offered will include facilities designed to enhance pediatric therapy for various functioning levels, peer socialization and parent training. Hopebridge is now scheduling diagnostic and Applied Behavior Analysis evaluations. The space will be located at 3377 S. Price Road, Chandler. According to the news release, the center will create more than 50 jobs in board-certified behavior analysts, registered behavior technicians, clinical psychologists, occupational therapists, speech language pathologists and other occupations.
